The Regions of Idyll

Idyll is the continent the whole game happens on. This page covers what is actually named, and is explicit about the part that is not settled.

The regions the developer has named

Six regions appear with descriptions on the official site:

RegionOfficial description, in short
Nimbus FieldsSoft clouds over thick grassland; a wind creature bounces across it in groups
MistwoodsOff-key singing among withered twigs; a poisonous swamp below, lit by glimmer fruits
Echoback LandingA stranded giant creature; the answer supposedly hidden in its singing
Sea of FlowersAn endless flower field, with a perfume village among the purple blooms
BlitzwoodThunder-scarred earth, charcoal soil and crackling sparks
Forest of Falling StarsA dense purple forest where dark creatures glide like shooting stars

Those six are citable. Everything else on this page is labelled as such.

The region count problem

You will see a confident number quoted — sixteen, or seventeen — and you should treat both with suspicion. Here is the actual state of it:

  • The official material names six regions with descriptions.
  • A community database lists fifteen regions plus a water-themed island, and separately its own homepage says seventeen.
  • The same community source labels its own map work in progress, with region borders and level bands still being added.

So: the count is not established, and the sources that do quote one disagree with themselves. This wiki does not restate a total. If you need a number for planning, the useful number is not the region count anyway — it is what spawns where, and that is a per-creature question the creature index is built to answer.

Region names you will see elsewhere

These names circulate widely and may be entirely correct, but they are not on the official pages this wiki can cite:

Breezy Plains · The Argent Strait · Beast Fang Ridge · Brightbough Plateau · Sandcastle Hill · Rosetower Wood · Driftwise Meadow · Lost Isles

Two of that list have independent support of a different kind: the Lost Isles is where the Egg Heist mode takes place, which is stated by the developer, and Breezy Plains is described as the starting region by community sources. Treat them as likely rather than confirmed.

Beyond the regions

Three places are not regions in the usual sense but are searched for like one:

  • Astra — the metropolis floating above Idyll. Pathfinders meet here and competitive activities run here. Reached through the story rather than by walking.
  • The Homeland — your own base, reached from the RV.
  • The campsite — where your RV parks in the open world, and the nearest thing to a social hub outside Astra.

How to actually use this

Region-by-region level bands and spawn tables are the kind of content that requires either the in-game map or a complete transcription of the official wiki, and this wiki does not have enough of either yet to publish them honestly.

What it does have is a creature index with element and role filters, and a weather page explaining which conditions change what appears. Use those two together and you can answer “what should I go looking for” without a spawn map.
