Platforms, Download and Accounts
Aniimo is free on every platform it ships on. The only thing that costs money is how you get it onto your machine, and on every platform that cost is zero.

If you are reading this on a phone and looking for a download button, the honest answer is a date: 23 September 2026. Anything offering a mobile build before that is not the official one.
The account rule that actually matters
Progress is shared across platforms — but only within one server, and only once your platform accounts are linked to the same account. The servers are split by region, and progress does not transfer between them.
Two consequences:
- Pick your server deliberately. This is the decision you cannot undo by changing a setting later. If your friends are on a specific server, that is the one to join.
- Link on console when prompted. Community reports say the link prompt appears once on console. Clicking through it is the mistake that costs you the shared progress.
Storage and hardware
- PC: 40 GB of available space, per the official requirement. Minimum is a GTX 970 with 8 GB of RAM; recommended is an RTX 3060 with 16 GB.
- Mobile: roughly 18 GB.
- Console: reported at 30 to 35 GB.
Those are capacity requirements, not download sizes. The system requirements page has the full table and the developer’s own troubleshooting steps.
Two client problems with official fixes
Both of these are documented by Pawprint, not community workarounds:
- Intel CPU crashes. The developer published a dedicated notice about crashes on 13th- and 14th-generation Intel Core desktop processors, with mitigation steps.
- A black screen on first entering a certain area. The published advice is to update your graphics driver, switch between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12, and disable DLSS Frame Generation.
Launch-week expectations
The developer warned about queues and long loading times as the servers filled, and that is normal for a launch this size — more than 30 million people pre-registered. If the client behaves oddly on day one, check whether it is a local fault before assuming it is.
What is still open
The Mac release has no published window, and nobody has committed to Steam Deck or Linux support. Neither is a “no” — they are simply not announced, which is a different thing.
